Hourly Rate: £16.56 - £17.91 Contract Duration: Permanent Scottish Borders Council have an exciting opportunity to join its Corporate Procurement Service as a Procurement Assistant. Working as a member of a small team, a Procurement Assistant will carry out low value/low risk procurements, support transactional procurement activities and contribute to the development and delivery of departmental strategies and objectives. Applicants must have a procurement-related qualification (e.g. SVQ3, CIPS level 2 certificate) or will be able to demonstrate the experience, knowledge & skills necessary to undertake the role. Applicants will ideally have experience in a procurement-related role within either a commercial or public sector environment. The role is hybrid. Occasional attendance at the office will be required, especially at the outset of the appointment The postholder will help the team to deliver an efficient and effective Corporate Procurement Service. They will carry out low value, low risk procurements, support transactional procurement processes, and assist with the implementation of the Corporate Procurement Strategy Procurement related qualification (e.g. SVQ3, CIPS level 2) or demonstrable relevant experience, knowledge & skills necessary to undertake the role.
