We are supporting a high-reliability electronics manufacturer in their search for a Process Engineer to join their Engineering team in Great Yarmouth. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to play a key role in driving manufacturing excellence across microelectronic assembly and test operations within a highly regulated environment.
As Process Engineer, you will take ownership of defined programmes, supporting robust, scalable, and compliant manufacturing processes. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, and production, contributing to new product introduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
Core responsibilities include:
Leading process development and optimisation for microelectronic assembly and electronics test
Acting as the nominated engineer for assigned programmes, ensuring delivery to quality, cost, and schedule
Supporting NPI activity through DFM input and process validation
Driving root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools
Developing and maintaining process documentation, including work instructions, FMEAs, and control plans
Monitoring and improving equipment performance through preventative maintenance and capability studies
Supporting audits, customer visits, and internal technical reviews
Contributing to continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and quality methodologiesAbout you:
Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or similar
3–5 years’ experience in a Process or Production Engineering role
Background in electronics manufacturing, microelectronics, aerospace, defence, or semiconductor environments
Strong understanding of regulated manufacturing processes and quality systems
Confident communicator able to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams
Methodical, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
