Process Engineer

Location: Cramlington

Salary: £45,000 + Excellent Benefits

Our leading electronics client are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to take ownership of manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement across their production operations. This role offers the chance to work with advanced technologies and contribute to Industry 4.0 integration.

What you’ll do:

Improve and optimise manufacturing processes to meet performance targets. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through process and equipment enhancements. Oversee maintenance and performance of SMT, Wave Solder, AOI, ICT and related machinery. Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Maintain spare parts inventory and establish robust maintenance systems. Collaborate with production leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

What we’re looking for:

3–5 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing. Strong knowledge of Surface Mount and Wave Solder processes. Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems; PLC programming desirable. Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement frameworks. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and team leadership capabilities.
