We are expanding our clinical team and are seeking an experienced General Practitioner with an Occupational Health qualification to support our growing OH service.

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site position for a Private General Practitioner (GP) with an Occupational Health Diploma or an Occupational Health Specialist, based in Kingston Upon Thames with no on-call or out-of-hours commitment. The role includes providing primary care services, conducting occupational health assessments, safety-critical role medicals and fitness-for-work clearances, complex case reviews including long-term sickness absence and Equality Act assessments, production of clear, structured management reports with fitness grading, review and sign-off of health surveillance outcomes (audiometry, spirometry, HAVS) and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Additional responsibilities include maintaining thorough patient records, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to a culture of excellence in line with the clinic’s ethos.

Requirements

• GMC-registered General Practitioner (with licence to practise)
• Diploma in Occupational Medicine (DipOccMed) or equivalent
• Experience delivering Occupational Health services in the UK
• Strong understanding of HSE guidance and UK OH standards
• Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Commitment to maintaining clinical standards and continuous professional development

Desirable

• MFOM / AFOM or working towards specialist OH accreditation
• Experience with safety-critical industries (construction, transport, utilities, healthcare)
• Previous involvement in OH clinical governance or supervision
• Previous experience in a private healthcare setting is a plus
• Experience working in CQC-registered environments
