Impact Recruitment are currently working with a market leading business who specialise in the construction industry globally. They are currently recruiting for a Principle Structural Engineer to oversee engineering projects including resource programming, design review and ensuring completion delivery.

Our client is a team of engineers who specialise in the design, development, manufacture, commissioning and site operation for a range of specialist construction projects around the world. They provide the complete service of construction engineering, supply of equipment and site supervision. Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 (Depending on experience)

Location: Rushden Northamptonshire

Hours: Monday - Friday working 9am-5:30pm (flexibility to offer hybrid working)

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities:

* Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, including resource planning, scheduling, design reviews, and ensuring timely delivery within budget.

* Serve as a technical point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and guidance.

* Collaborate within a well-established team of Engineers and CAD Technicians, working in compliance with our Company Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001).

* Provide mentoring, supervision, and quality checks for the work produced by Engineers and CAD Technicians.

* Lead the conceptual and detailed design of construction methods and temporary works, with a focus on steel structures designed to Eurocode standards.

* Conduct structural analysis reviews using STAAD Pro and LUSAS software.

* Prepare detailed design calculations using Microsoft Excel (preferred) or manual methods.

* Develop design sketches and drawings either by hand or using Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Inventor.

* Oversee the CAD team in producing 3D models, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and manufacturing drawings.

* Create technical documentation, including design statements, designer's risk assessments, and engineering method statements.

* Assist in the preparation of tender designs and cost estimates.

Required Experience:

* A minimum of 12 years' post-graduate experience in structural analysis and design, with a strong emphasis on steel structures.

* Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams.

* Solid understanding of temporary works and construction engineering, including familiarity with heavy lifting equipment and techniques.

* In-depth knowledge and practical application of Eurocodes in structural design.

* Strong problem-solving abilities, with excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

* Proficient in general IT applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email systems.
