Job Summary

Enablement Platforms Engineer for Sky UK&I Technology. The role reports to the Head of Software Engineering and supports the customer management and engagement platforms powering Sky Glass, Sky Q, Mobile, Broadband & Talk, Sky Protect and future products. You will work with Architecture, Engineering and Product teams to drive technical and operational simplification.

What you'll do

• Define enabler features to drive the technology roadmap for your agile release train.
• Own the technology strategy, vision and systems architecture runway for your agile release train, aligned with the wider technology strategy.
• Engage with architecture, engineering and product teams to gain consensus on approach and participate in relevant forums and governance.
• Ensure system architecture is ready for PI planning and collaborate with engineering to ensure understanding of capability changes.
• Coordinate change to shared capabilities with solution architecture and engineering teams.
• Take accountability for strategic initiatives, shared capabilities and cross‑cutting objectives from the platform portfolio, ensuring alignment within the product portfolio.
• Work with engineering teams throughout each PI to support delivery of the work.
• Assist in breaking down capabilities into features.

What you'll bring

• Experience working within an agile framework at scale, aligning systems architecture with agile principles.
• Strong communication, collaboration and team skills with technology and business stakeholders.
• Deep understanding and proven experience of technology architecture frameworks, change and delivery lifecycles.
• Broad technology experience across domains (data, infrastructure, integration, security, customer management, digital, app).
• Significant experience in systems and engineering design.
• Senior architecture or engineering role experience.
• Experience with customer relationship management systems architecture (engagement, commerce, fulfilment).
• Line management experience or willingness to support direct reports.
• Nice to have: experience in media and/or telecoms industry.
