Principal Structural Engineer\nLeicester\n\nCompetitive Salary + Benefits\n\nWe are representing a respected multidisciplinary consultancy seeking an accomplished Principal Structural Engineer to lead the technical delivery of their own project portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer ready to take on greater responsibility, uphold high technical standards, and play a key role in the commercial performance and quality management of structural commissions.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nAs a leader, you will confidently engage with clients across a range of sectors, maintaining strong existing relationships while also identifying opportunities to develop new ones. You will provide guidance and support to colleagues and contribute directly to technical design and reporting.\n\nKey Sectors\n\nThe consultancy delivers structural engineering expertise across:\n\nPrivate and affordable housing\nCare and supported living\nRenewable energy (notably wind)\nIndustrial and commercial developments\nLand remediation\nEmerging rail sector workProjects span the UK, with a strong focus on the Midlands and surrounding regions.\n\nTechnical Expertise\n\nYou should bring comprehensive knowledge of major structural materials and have experience leading the design process.

Familiarity with the following software is advantageous:\n\nTEKLA \nTedds\nRevit \nAutoCAD\n\nAbout You\n\nTypically 10+ years post-graduate experience\nProven experience taking full design responsibility for projects\nChartered status , though highly experienced non-Chartered candidates will be considered\nStrong leadership qualities and the ability to support and inspire team members\nConfident client-facing communicator\nFull UK driving licence requiredYou will report directly to the Board and will receive ongoing support for continuous professional development and career advancement
