Job Description

Our client, a leading company in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Test Equipment Design Engineer for a contract position. This role focuses on creating and delivering software solutions, especially using LabVIEW, within a structured work package to meet various stakeholder requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCreate and deliver software solutions within a defined work package area, ensuring all stakeholder requirements are met\nEstablish and mature stakeholder needs, determining optimum capabilities to solve their problems\nCreate high-quality and robust code; document and record work products, keeping them under configuration management\nWork closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure architecture alignment with other programme elements\nApply appropriate tools and techniques for test equipment design, providing expert advice\nResolve emerging issues by proposing and driving solutions, escalating complex risks and supporting opportunity and risk mitigation\nFoster relationships within and outside the line of business, promoting best practice adoption\nDevelop, coach, mentor, and upskill other engineers in the application of engineering\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience of designing solutions using C and NI LabWindows/CVI and familiarity with TestStand is essential.
