Job TitleThe Mining and Minerals business is seeking a Principal / Senior Mechanical Engineer with sector specific transferable skills to undertake concept study / engineering for mineral processing plants supporting small to large scale projects in a multi‑discipline environment. A degree in mechanical or mineral engineering is required.RoleContribute to layout, design and specification of mineral processing, metallurgical and hydrometallurgical processing facilities, as well as materials handling facilities for studies and engineering contracts. Liaise with other engineering and project disciplines to ensure equipment requirements are captured and engineering information is fed back into the process plant design process. Specify and select equipment and engage with the equipment supply chain to ensure that project needs are captured. Ensure work complies with necessary corporate and legislative requirements and procedures, maintaining consistency and quality of project delivery. Resolve functional issues within a project using technical capabilities and engineering judgment, generating innovative solutions and value‑adding options for clients.What We Will Be Looking For You To DemonstrateA degree in mechanical or mineral engineering.Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead multi‑disciplinary teams.Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.If you don’t meet all that we are looking for please still consider applying.
