A leading global research and analytics firm is seeking a Principal Power Market Modeler to drive the transformation of its power market forecasting capabilities. This is a rare opportunity to own the design and development of next generation simulation models that directly influence billion dollar investment decisions across major markets in Europe, Japan, and potentially the United States.
As a technical leader at the forefront of the energy transition, you'll design cutting edge modeling solutions, mentor a high performing team, and work with some of the most influential players in the global power and utilities space.
What You'll Do:
Reimagine power forecasting. Lead the vision and execution of an advanced power market simulation model using linear and mixed integer programming techniques. Inspire and lead. Manage and grow a talented team of data scientists and energy modelers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Tackle critical system challenges. Model and optimise complex dispatch and capacity expansion problems in modern interconnected grids....
