Position: Principal Investigator

Overview

We are representing a rapidly expanding, UK-based clinical research organization seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Investigator (PI) to lead clinical trials at a Yorkshire site. This is an excellent opportunity for a medically qualified professional to take on a leadership role within a high-growth environment focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centric research.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Principal Investigator on a range of clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas
  • Ensure all studies are conducted in compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, and study protocols
  • Provide clinical oversight and leadership to the research team, including Sub-Investigators and site staff
  • Safeguard patient safety, wellbeing, and informed consent processes at all times
  • Support and contribute to patient recruitment strategies to meet and exceed enrolment targets
  • Maintain accurate and complete source documentation and data integrity
  • Collaborate with sponsors, CROs, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful study delivery
  • Participate in monitoring visits, audits, and inspections
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the growth of the site


Key Skills & Experience

  • GMC-registered medical doctor with a licence to practise in the UK
  • Previous experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in clinical research
  • Strong understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead clinical teams and manage multiple studies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Passion for clinical research and improving patient access to innovative treatments
