A global consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Principal Hydraulic Modeller to join their team. Based in Leeds, this contract role specialises in wastewater modelling for a 6-month period, with the potential for hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and calibrating hydraulic models to support wastewater management projects
Evaluating and interpreting hydraulic data to ensure accurate modelling outcomes
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate hydraulic solutions into larger project plans
Providing technical guidance and support to junior modellers and project teams
Preparing detailed reports and documentation on modelling methodologies and findings
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Liaising with stakeholders to present findings and recommend actionable solutions

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in hydraulic modelling, particularly in the wastewater sector
Expertise in the use of hydraulic and civil engineering software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent report writing and presentation abilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Relevant degree in civil engineering, hydraulics, or a related discipline
Flexibility to adapt to hybrid and flexible working arrangements
