We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Principal Health & Safety CDM Consultant to join our External Health & Safety Team. The role can be worked flexibly from our Birmingham or Manchester offices, which to us means at least 3 days per week either in the office or on site with the remaining days at home. We also offer the opportunity to flex your start and finish times.

What does the role involve?

  • Managing a range of projects, advising the Client on compliance with the CDM2015 Regulations and other associated legislation.
  • Undertaking site inspections and preparing reports with proposed corrective actions.
  • Supporting clients in advising on the suitability of their H&S management arrangements.
  • Working closely with our Building Safety duty holder support team, providing advisory services under the Building Safety Act.
  • Supporting the Operations Director with developing/enhancing the technical skills of consultants by sharing your experiences and technical knowledge.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will

  • Hold a higher education qualification in design, engineering, surveying or a construction related discipline.
  • Hold (or be working towards) chartered membership of a relevant professional institution.
  • Have demonstrable CDM project experience including the preparation of related document reporting.
  • Have a general understanding of the Building Regulations.
  • Be able to manage your own time and project budgets, delivering to agreed scope, time, cost and quality.
  • Have the ability to engage with key stakeholders to gain commitment and influence the acceptance of new ideas and concepts in respect of change plans.
  • Have good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt your style to suit different audiences.
