Job Description Job Title: Engineering Manager – Electrical Systems \n Location: Barrow-in-Furness / Filton – (Hybrid -2 days a fortnight (Barrow), 1 day a week(Filton) dependent on business needs, also a requirement to visit other sites in the UK on a regular basis)\n Salary: Up to Up to £61,967 (Commensurate with skills and experience)\n What you’ll be doing: \n Leading & managing an engineering team to deliver the functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment \n Managing the processes and reviews of technical documentation \n Managing associated technical risks, assumptions and dependencies \n Providing advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines \n Engaging with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems \n Taking a leading role by guiding the team through the systems definition process \n Providing leadership and mentoring of more junior team members to ensure the necessary capability and skills development \n \n Your skills and experiences: \n Essential \n Chartership or working (or prepared to work) towards \n Engineering degree or HND with substantial experience in Electrical Engineering design / development \n Experience of design / development of power systems (concept through to detailed design)\n Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems \n Strong analytical and problem solving skills \n ...
