Job Description

Our client is a leading M&E contractor who are looking for a Principal Technical Manager with an Electrical bias to join their team focussing on high profile, technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across multiple sectors.\n\nOur client is a heavily design led contractor who is at the forefront of digital engineering, they have strong and established digital and design teams based in each region, which will provide you with a full-strength support system throughout the business.\n\nPrincipal Technical Managers are a valuable part of the business, and their role will encompass both work winning and the delivery of live projects whilst providing strong functional leadership, management, governance and excellence for all engineering activities pre and post contract, across either a single large project or portfolio of projects.\n\nAs a Principal Technical Manager, you will:\n\n• Accountability for adherence to relevant business processes, undertaking Design Reviews, coaching of MEP Designers & management of technical actions\n\n• Technical accountability for the electrical engineering services for the project\n\n• Accountability for technical assessment, coaching and development of Preconstruction Leaders, Design Project Managers & Project Managers & Engineers\n\n• Form relationships with consultants to ensure compliance and initiate any changes as a collaborative team.
