Principal Electrical Design Engineer\n\nClean & Wastewater Infrastructure\n\nWest London | Hybrid / Flexible Working\nPermanent\n\nOur client is a leading design and build contractor delivering critical clean and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to sustained growth, they are looking to appoint a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to take a leading role within their London-based team.\n\nThis is a senior position offering real influence over technical delivery, standards, and team development within a highly respected water-focused consultancy.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a Principal Electrical Design Engineer, you will:\n\nLead the electrical design of clean and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through to detailed design\n\nAct as technical authority for electrical engineering across multiple schemes\n\nProduce, review, and approve electrical designs, specifications, and calculations\n\nProvide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to engineers within the team\n\nWork closely with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary design teams\n\nEnsure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and safety requirements\n\nAbout You\n\nYou will ideally have:\n\nA degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering\n\nExtensive experience in water or wastewater infrastructure projects\n\nStrong knowledge of LV/HV systems, MCCs, control panels, and associated infrastructure\n\nProven experience leading electrical design teams or complex work packages\n\nExcellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style\n\nChartered Engineer status (IET or equivalent) is strongly .\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits package\n\nFlexible and hybrid working arrangements\n\nA senior technical leadership role within a specialist consultancy\n\nLong-term career progression and the opportunity to shape electrical design standards\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a senior electrical engineer looking to step into a principal-level role within the UK water sector.\n\nApply now or get in touch for a confidential discussion
