Currie & Brown is currently looking for an individual with either design or building control-based background to deliver the Building Regulations Principal Designer and CDM Principal Designer role within our Glasgow project team. The successful candidate will ensure project compliance with the current building regulations, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation, and reinforcing our recognised reputation as preferred service provider.The current team is known for its people-focused culture, long-standing client relationships, and integrated technical expertise. With continued plans for expansion, the organisation offers a dynamic and collaborative environment with a strong commitment to the individual’s career progression.Your core duties will involve:Complying with the responsibilities of the Principal Designer under the Building Regulations and CDM Regulations 2015Lead all Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) commissions, including resource coordination, fee management, and reporting to the Director of Health & SafetyReview and comment on design risk and compliance documentationProduce, review, and update compliance risk registers and project coordination recordsSupport clients with competence declarationsOversee reviews of full design packages, coordinating technical input from internal specialists and identifying Building Regulations compliance issuesAssist in producing Building Regulations conformance statements and fulfilling BRPD statutory dutiesDetermine involvement during construction, including inspections, information requirements, and Principal Contractor liaisonConduct periodic site inspections as requiredCoordinate review of design changes that may impact Building Regulations or CDM complianceEnsure required documentation is uploaded to agreed client information platformsWhat skills and attributes are we looking for from you:Ability to manage individual workloads while providing clear, competent advice to clients and internal teamsExperience supporting or developing a Building Regulations Principal Designer serviceConfident, proactive communicator comfortable engaging with clients and project stakeholders #J-18808-Ljbffr
