We’re working with a global, leading consultancy seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their growing Cardiff team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer ready to take on a senior technical and leadership role within a highly respected international business delivering major infrastructure and development projects.

The Role

As Principal Engineer, you’ll take a lead role in civil engineering delivery for building-led development projects, with responsibility for design, coordination, technical oversight and team leadership. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams locally and globally, ensuring high-quality, sustainable engineering solutions across drainage, utilities, highways, interfaces and earthworks.

What we’re looking for

Degree-qualified Civil Engineer with Chartered or Incorporated status
Strong experience delivering civil/urban development projects
Expertise in drainage, highways, utilities and earthworks design
Proficiency in tools such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage
Solid understanding of standards, including SuDS, DMRB and Building Regulations
Proven project management and client-facing experience
Strong leadership and xrlawcv technical decision-making ability
