The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for Principal / Associate Highways Drainage Engineer to join our Civil Infrastructure team in Manchester or Leeds. You will lead the highways drainage discipline, oversee projects from inception to completion, advise on delivery of regional and national projects across the UK, and mentor junior colleagues. Responsibilities
Lead the highways drainage discipline and develop a team. Oversee all aspects of projects from inception to completion. Advise on delivery of regional and national projects in the development and infrastructure sectors, from highways improvements to regeneration projects. Support the North West leadership team in shaping future strategy. Collaborate with senior team members and wider business to deliver key projects for clients. Mentor, guide, and inspire more junior civil engineering colleagues.
Qualifications
Degree qualified in civil engineering or similar. Professionally qualified to either CEng or IEng. Experience in drainage infrastructure design across the lifecycle (concept, planning, detailed design, delivery). Preference for highway design and on-site supervision experience. Proven record of delivering projects closely with clients across technical disciplines and managing junior workload. Skills with Civils 3D, Infodrainage and utility coordination are advantageous. Strong communication skills with internal and external parties (utility companies, drainage authorities, highway authorities).
