Supply role - Year 5 Teacher – Grimsby

Location: GrimsbySchool: Harbour Learning Trust Primary SchoolRole Type: Full-time, TemporaryPay: £135–£170 per day

About the Role

Reed Education are working closely with a well-regarded Harbour Learning Trust primary school in Grimsby to appoint an enthusiastic and confident Year 5 Teacher for a 4-week placement during the Summer Term.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, well-led Trust where high expectations, positive relationships, and pupil wellbeing are central to the school’s ethos. You’ll be teaching a lively and engaging Year 5 class, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning in the run-up to the end of the academic year.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering high-quality, pre-planned lessons to a Year 5 class
• Maintaining strong classroom routines and behaviour expectations
• Creating a positive, structured and engaging learning environment
• Supporting pupils with key KS2 curriculum areas, including literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum subjects
• Encouraging pupils’ independence, resilience and confidence

To Thrive in This Role, You Are:

• Confident and adaptable, with strong behaviour management skills
• Dedicated and enthusiastic about teaching and supporting upper KS2 pupils
• Skilled at building quick rapport with staff and pupils
• Able to deliver lessons confidently from existing planning

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in KS2 (Year 5 experience desirable)
• Enhanced DBS on the xbpsjku Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
