Position: Key Stage 2 Teacher (Year 3)

Location: Wigan, Greater Manchester

Start Date: As soon as possible

Duration: Full-time until July 2026

Salary: £150 - £210 per day

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Wigan. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, running through to the end of the summer term. The school is looking for someone who can hit the ground running and provide stability for their Year 3 cohort during this final stretch of the academic year.

The Role

As the Year 3 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting pupils as they continue their journey through Key Stage 2. You will focus on building their independence and academic confidence across a broad and balanced curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering high-quality, creative lessons that engage Year 3 learners.

Assessing pupil progress and implementing effective interventions where necessary.

Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation.

Working collaboratively with the Year 3 team and support staff to ensure consistency.

Maintaining strong communication with parents and carers regarding student achievement.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 3 experience is an advantage).

A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment strategies.

Excellent classroom management skills and a nurturing approach.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or the willingness to apply for a new one).
