About the Role as SEN Primary Teacher: As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will deliver structured lessons, lead targeted interventions, and maintain firm expectations to keep pupils engaged and progressing. You will use practical, goal-driven teaching strategies that develop academic skills, resilience, and independence in pupils who require steady guidance.
Key Responsibilities as SEN Primary Teacher:
Structured Instruction: Deliver clear, engaging lessons tailored to SEN primary pupils. Classroom Leadership: Maintain routines, boundaries, and a controlled learning environment. Behaviour & Regulation: Apply firm strategies that reinforce self-discipline, focus, and positive habits. Progress Tracking: Record academic and behavioural development with precision. Professional Collaboration: Work efficiently with teaching assistants, leadership, and external professionals.To succeed as an SEN Primary Teacher, you will need:
Proven experience teaching SEN, primary, or similar structured settings. Strong classroom presence with clear, authoritative communication. Confidence managing challenging behaviour with consistency and control. Strong decision-making skills and a proactive, independent approach.
