Are you an experienced and inspiring teacher looking for a leadership opportunity that makes a real difference? Were supporting a specialist school in recruiting a Primary Teacher / Key Stage 2 Lead to join their dedicated team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering a tailored, high-quality curriculum for children on the autistic spectrum and helping a school thrive.
What the role involves:
- Teaching a small class of up to 10 pupils, delivering an engaging, differentiated curriculum that inspires and challenges.
- Leading and supporting Key Stage staff, monitoring learner progress, behaviour, and achievement.
- Overseeing IEPs, IBPs, EHCPs, and termly reports to ensure every learner reaches their full potential.
- Organising assemblies, parents evenings, and meetings for staff, parents, and pupils.
- Contributing to whole-school initiatives, improvement planning, and safeguarding.
- Providing mentoring, guidance, and supervision to colleagues within the Key Stage.
Who were looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status with a good honours degree.
- Experience supporting learners with special educational needs, particularly autism.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate staff and drive change.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and ICT skills.
- A passion for creating a stimulating, inclusive, and innovative learning environment.
Desirable:
- SEN/Autism qualifications or knowledge of PDA profile.
- Experience with EHCPs, IEPs/IBPs, and school improvement planning.
- Additional leadership or professional qualifications, e.g., NPQML.
