This role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering a tailored, high-quality curriculum for children on the autistic spectrum and helping a school thrive.
What the role involves: Teaching a small class of up to 10 pupils, delivering an engaging, differentiated curriculum that inspires and challenges.
Leading and supporting Key Stage staff, monitoring learner progress, behaviour, and achievement.
Overseeing IEPs, IBPs, EHCPs, and termly reports to ensure every learner reaches their full potential.
Organising assemblies, parents evenings, and meetings for staff, parents, and pupils.
Contributing to whole-school initiatives, improvement planning, and safeguarding.
Providing mentoring, guidance, and supervision to colleagues within the Key Stage.
Who were looking for: Qualified Teacher Status with a good honours degree.
Experience supporting learners with special educational needs, particularly autism.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate staff and drive change.
Excellent organisational, communication, and ICT skills.
A passion for creating a stimulating, inclusive, and innovative learning environment.
Desirable: SEN/Autism qualifications or knowledge of PDA profile.
Experience with EHCPs, IEPs/IBPs, and school improvement planning.
Additional leadership or professional qualifications, e.g., NPQML.
