Do you have a passion for helping children with additional needs thrive in education? Teaching Personnel is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and support pupils in mainstream primary schools across Plymouth. These pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) or are currently awaiting placement in specialist settings.

Your Role

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, and social/emotional challenges. Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to implement strategies that meet individual learning goals. Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence in the classroom. Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or similar). A caring, patient, and adaptable approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships. Relevant qualifications or training are an advantage but not essential.
