Job Title: SEND TA Area: Rochdale, Manchester Start Date: Monday 23rd March 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time Salary: £105.00 - £140.00 per day (depending on experience) Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the school:

We are partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rochdale that is looking to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team as soon as possible.

This full-time position involves supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, including children with a range of additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and communication challenges. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important, as developing positive relationships with pupils plays a vital role in supporting their social development and engagement with learning.

About the role as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with EHCPs and additional needs Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, behaviour support, and tailored interventions Promote emotional regulation, independence, and positive routines throughout the school day Contribute to progress tracking and communicate regularly with the wider support team What We're Looking For from a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant:

Experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or care setting) Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively A calm, compassionate, and proactive approach Strong understanding of Autism and SEND A relevant TA qualificationTo be eligible you must:
