Year 6 Class Teacher - Permanent

Balham, Inner London | September 2026 Start | Full Time

A well-regarded primary school in Balham is seeking to appoint an experienced and committed Year 6 Class Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Key Stage 2 practitioner who is passionate about preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school and can deliver high-quality teaching with strong academic expectations and effective behaviour management.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
• Have proven experience teaching Year 6 or upper KS2 within a UK primary school
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, including SATs preparation
• Set high expectations for pupil achievement, progress and behaviour
• Create a focused, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and senior leaders
• Hold up-to-date safeguarding training or be willing to complete this

Salary:MPS2 - MPS6 (Inner London), dependent on experience
