The Role Primary School Teacher and Phonics Lead
As Primary School Teacher and Phonics Lead, you will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching as a Primary School Teacher within KS1 or KS2
- Lead the strategic development of phonics across Early Years and Key Stage 1
- Coach and support colleagues through modelling, monitoring and feedback
- Analyse phonics and early reading data to secure strong progress
- Oversee phonics interventions to accelerate pupil outcomes
- Work closely with senior leaders to sustain excellence in reading
The Ideal Primary School Teacher and Phonics Lead Will Have:
- QTS
- Proven impact as a Primary School Teacher
- Experience leading or supporting phonics development
- Strong knowledge of systematic synthetic phonics
- Experience coaching staff or leading CPD
- High expectations for behaviour and academic standards, confidence in behaviour management
- Commitment to inclusion and SEND provision
