Day-to-day of the role: Assist teachers in preparing differentiated lessons and creating learning materials tailored to pupils with SEMH needs and Autistic Spectrum Conditions. Support pupils in small groups and one-to-one settings across all curriculum areas, reinforcing behavioural, social, and emotional learning strategies. Help pupils develop independence and confidence through personalised learning and therapeutic support. Liaise with teachers, care staff, and external professionals to support pupil progress and ensure a cohesive educational approach. Participate in educational visits and contribute to creative and practical activities that enhance learning experiences. Carry out basic administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and display work to support classroom activities. Required Skills & Qualifications: Full-time availability (Monday–Friday, 08:40–15:55). Experience working with children, ideally in an educational or SEMH setting. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management. Good ICT skills and ability to support learning with technology.
