The School

A modern and well-resourced primary school in the North Greenwich area is seeking a committed Primary Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

The Role

The successful Primary Class Teacher will take responsibility for a Year 2 class, supporting pupils through a key stage in their learning journey.

Responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
Supporting pupils' development in phonics, reading, writing and maths
Preparing pupils for end of KS1 assessments in a supportive manner
Creating a structured and positive classroom environment
Working closely with teaching assistants and year group colleagues

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a Primary Class Teacher who:

Holds QTS and has recent KS1 teaching experience
Has a strong understanding of phonics and early learning strategies
Maintains high expectations for behaviour and progress
Is organised, proactive and reflective in their practice
Works well within a collaborative teamExperience in Year 2 or KS1 assessment is desirable but not essential.
