Job Title: Pre-Construction ManagerSalary: £100,000 - £120,000 per annumLocation: City Of LondonIndustry: Building and ConstructionAbout the RoleOur client, a leading main contractor, is seeking an experienced and highly capable Pre-Construction Manager to join their team. This is a senior role responsible for leading pre-construction planning and feasibility activities across major, high-value construction projects.Working within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping project delivery, ensuring programmes, budgets, and procurement strategies are robust, realistic, and aligned with client expectations across complex schemes.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead pre-construction planning, feasibility studies, and programme development for major projectsWork closely with project teams, including design, commercial, and site teams, to align pre-construction activities with project objectivesDevelop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and risk registers during the pre-construction phaseProduce and maintain accurate reports, including feasibility analyses, progress updates, and programme reviewsAttend client and stakeholder meetings, providing professional insights and recommendationsReview and challenge design and contractor proposals to ensure feasibility and complianceContribute to procurement strategies, tender evaluations, and value engineering initiativesEnsure all pre-construction activities align with project requirements and contractual obligationsSupport bid and tender stages with programme, cost, and planning inputSkills, Experience, and QualificationsProven background working with a Tier One contractor is essentialStrong experience working on large-scale, complex construction projectsStrong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies, and pre-construction processesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and work to tight deadlinesA proactive, solutions-driven approachPrior experience as a Pre-Construction Manager is essentialWorking PatternCombination of office-based and site-based workingTravel allowancePension contributionOngoing professional development and trainingCollaborative and supportive team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
