Do you enjoy hands-on engineering where microns matter and quality is everything?We're looking for a Precision Match Honer / Lapper to join our aerospace manufacturing team, working on critical components where precision is non-negotiable.About the RoleThis is a highly specialist machining position focused on producing and finishing aerospace components to exceptional tolerances at sub-micron levels.You will set and operate advanced honing and lapping equipment to manufacture matched, non-interchangeable assemblies used in high-performance aerospace systems.Every component you produce plays a vital role in safety, reliability, and performance.What You'll Be DoingSetting and operating precision honing and lapping machinesMachining components to extreme tolerances (down to microns and sub-microns)Inspecting your own work using advanced metrology equipmentEnsuring full traceability of matched component setsConducting first-off inspection before batch productionMaintaining tooling, equipment, and documentation to high aerospace standardsPerforming controlled functional tests on finished componentsWorking closely within a skilled manufacturing team focused on continuous improvementWhat We're Looking ForExperience in precision machining, grinding, honing, or lappingStrong ability to read and interpret engineering drawingsConfidence using precision measuring equipment (bore gauges, air gauges, slip gauges, etc.)A strong commitment to quality and consistencyExperience in a manufacturing or engineering environmentJBRP1_UKTJ
