Job DescriptionAdvertisement Details The purpose of this post is to work effectively as a lead member of an Early Learning and Childcare team to support in the delivery of a high quality, safe and balanced education and care service, which meets the needs of each young child and their families and is in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

all Social Work Service workers must adhere to the following Codes of Practice: SSSC have a Continuous Learning Framework and staff should make themselves aware of the content and how it relates to the Practitioner post.
There are 7 classes in the Primary Department and a large Early Years and Childcare Department (delivering up to 30 hours per week). There are currently a total of 175 pupils on the school and ELC roll combined. Adjacent to the Primary School and ELC are Hame fae Hame (Childcare provision) and the Health Centre. The school makes use of the Games hall and swimming pool facilities which are situated next door.
The current teaching staff comprises of 5 full-time class teachers and 2 job-shares. PE, Art and Music are provided by peripatetic specialists with a range of instrumental instruction timetabled for P5-7 pupils. A team of Learning Support Workers compliment the role of the SfL teachers to meet the needs of all of our pupils.

~ Rate of pay shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £1.4808 per hour
~ Permanent Part Time post for 35.0 Hours per Week , 40.5 weeks per year
~40.5 weeks per year plus 6.48 weeks (pro rata) paid holiday to be taken during school holidays.
~ A relocation package does not apply to this post
