Practice Lead – Lloyd’s Market - Solutioning and Transformation

Location: UK (London / Hybrid)

Salary: Circa £70 - 90k

About the Role

We are partnering with a leading global insurance services organisation to appoint a Practice Lead for the Lloyd’s Market. This is a newly created role, designed to support the continued growth and expansion of the business within the UK insurance market.

This is a high-impact, hybrid position combining strategy, client engagement, solution design, and transformation. You will play a key role in shaping the organisation’s Lloyd’s offering while working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver innovative solutions.


Key Responsibilities

Practice Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and lead the Lloyd’s market practice, including future growth strategy
  • Build capabilities aligned to market developments (e.g. Blueprint 2.0)
  • Establish the organisation as a trusted partner within the Lloyd’s ecosystem

Client Engagement & Solutioning

  • Work closely with clients to understand business challenges and opportunities
  • Lead the development of end-to-end solutions and RFP responses
  • Partner with sales teams in client discussions and opportunity conversion

Transformation & Delivery

  • Support and shape business and technology transformation initiatives
  • Collaborate with delivery and solutioning teams to implement client solutions
  • Bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution

Market Insight & Thought Leadership

  • Provide insight into:
  • Lloyd’s market trends and future direction
  • Delegated underwriting and operational challenges
  • Regulatory considerations (e.g. FCA)
  • Contribute to thought leadership and strategic positioning


About You

We are looking for a well-rounded insurance professional with a strong understanding of the Lloyd’s market and the ability to operate across both strategy and execution.

Essential Experience

  • Strong experience within the Lloyd’s / London Market insurance sector
  • Broad exposure across areas such as:
  • Underwriting
  • Policy administration
  • Finance & operations
  • Regulatory environment
  • Proven experience in solutioning and/or leading RFP processes
  • Experience working directly with clients in a consultative capacity

Preferred Background

  • Experience within a syndicate, broker, or insurance carrier
  • Alternatively, a consulting background with strong Lloyd’s market expertise

Key Skills

  • Ability to combine business knowledge with solution design
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and client-facing capability
  • Understanding of technology and transformation trends (not purely technical)
