TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading independent accountancy practice in Surrey that is looking to recruit a Practice Administrator to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded firm that provides high-quality accountancy, tax and advisory services to a broad client base. The practice prides itself on delivering a personal, partner-led service within a friendly and collaborative environment.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on position at the heart of the practice, supporting the Practice Manager and wider team with the smooth day-to-day running of the office. The role also offers exposure to Company Secretarial work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is looking to develop within a professional services environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
Practice Administration
Providing day-to-day support to the Practice Manager
Acting as a first point of contact for incoming calls and visitors
Meeting and greeting clients and supporting meeting room arrangements
Managing incoming and outgoing post
Supporting client onboarding and offboarding processes
Maintaining CRM systems and accurate client records
Assisting with professional clearance and client record transfers
Co-managing shared inboxes and responding to queries where appropriate
Supporting internal reporting and administrative processes
Managing office supplies and liaising with suppliers and building management
Assisting with the organisation of internal meetings, events and ad hoc projects
Company Secretarial Support
Assisting with the preparation and filing of basic Companies House forms
Supporting the maintenance of statutory records
Assisting with Confirmation Statements and general compliance tasks
Updating internal systems and databases
RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be:
Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
Experienced within an accountancy or professional services environment (preferred)
A confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
Detail-focused with a high level of accuracy
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Flexible and adaptable in a busy office environment
IT literate with strong systems skills
Experience using practice software such as Digita would be advantageous
An interest in Company Secretarial work would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training can be provided.
