A leading London-based law firm is seeking a PR & Communications Executive to support its growing communications and media relations efforts. Known for its distinctive approach and highly regarded practice areas, the firm prides itself on a collaborative culture, long-term career development, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

As PR & Communications Executive, you’ll be part of a high-performing marketing and business development team, working closely with the PR & Communications Manager and wider leadership. This is a dynamic, hands-on role for someone keen to take ownership of media activity and bring fresh ideas to a well-established function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a day-to-day press office contact, handling incoming media enquiries and liaising with journalists.
  • Draft and edit a range of communications content, including press releases, articles, and social media copy.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of PR strategies and firm-wide communication campaigns.
  • Proactively identify media opportunities and pitch stories to key publications (national, legal and trade).
  • Maintain and develop media lists using the firm’s media database.
  • Support interview coordination, briefing notes, and journalist meetings with partners and lawyers.
  • Monitor editorial calendars and suggest ways to enhance firm visibility in relevant outlets.
  • Showcase press coverage internally and support internal stakeholder engagement.
  • Contribute to award submissions and explore the use of AI tools to improve communications output.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and a confident editorial voice.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Prior experience in a PR, media relations, or communications role—ideally within professional services or legal sectors.
  • Familiarity with PR tools such as media databases and media monitoring software.
  • An interest in current affairs and the ability to translate complex legal topics into accessible content.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills are required when working with senior stakeholders.
