My client in the Thirsk area require an experienced Powder Coater.

Overview The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in fabrication and assembly processes. As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for preparing and applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our standards.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking as necessary. Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and ovens, to apply coatings evenly and efficiently. Inspect coated items for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards. Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment as required.

Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively. Experience in fabrication processes is highly desirable. Basic mathematical skills for measuring and mixing materials accurately. Previous warehouse experience is an advantage. Familiarity with construction painting techniques is beneficial. Experience in assembly work is preferred. Welding skills are a plus but not mandatory.
