We have been appointed by NHS England as the Programme Delivery Partner for the New Hospital Programme (NHP). The NHP was launched in October 2020 and aims to build and refurbish hospitals across the UK, improving access to modern healthcare. Following a strategic review in September 2024, the government has rebalanced hospital schemes with secured funding in five‑year waves.
Job Description
As part of the next phase of mobilisation, we are recruiting an Associate Director to support the Director of the post‑contract estimating & cost management team. The role is dedicated to maintaining the approved cost baseline, assessing change costs, resolving commercial matters, reviewing risks, and verifying data.
Responsibilities
Responsible for scheme cost assurance and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of cost performance
Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Engage with Trusts, their Cost Consultants and Contractors to build and maintain robust cost management and reporting
Support business case review, including input to NHP governance
Support Delivery Project Leads in the verification of scheme cost status and reporting
Contribute to change control, including the cost assessment of changes
Support Trusts in the adoption and adherence to NHP cost management requirements and policies
Qualifications
Team leadership and management experience
Policy implementation and compliance knowledge
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Excellent Excel skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
