This is a perfect opportunity for an motivated Senior looking to make their first move into Management or an experienced Manager interested in a clear development pathway into a Directorship position. The Role As Manager, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring all compliance and advisory work is delivered to the highest standards. You will act as a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships while overseeing workflow and supporting junior staff. This is a hands‑on position requiring strong technical knowledge, leadership capability, and the confidence to manage multiple deadlines effectively. Key Responsibilities

Working alongside a Director to take over and manage a portfolio of clients Reviewing company, partnership and sole trader accounts Reviewing VAT returns Reviewing partnership and personal tax returns Ensuring jobs are completed to a high standard and within deadlines Training, supervising and supporting junior members of staff Communicating effectively with clients and building long‑term relationships Maintaining up‑to‑date technical knowledge of current accounting standards Audit exposure is advantageous but not essential

About You

Significant experience within an accountancy practice environment ACA / ACCA qualification or Qualified by Experience (QBE) Strong technical knowledge of current accounting standards Proficiency in Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and MS Office (CCH experience desirable) Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong leadership and mentoring ability Confident communication skills with a client‑focused approach A proactive, motivated and professional attitude
