Policy Officer – Suffolk Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Policy Officer to help shape and inform the political and policy agenda and drive economic growth on behalf of our membership and wider business community.

Suffolk Chamber is a leading business organisation with a significant voice to those in power, with devolution, infrastructure, skills, climate adaptation, and promoting a strong economy all playing a vital role to our strategic aims. In this varied Policy Officer role, you will have the opportunity to work across several key work streams at a time of great potential change.

What You’ll Do:

Work across the organisation and with a range of stakeholders and government departments to respond to Government consultations and identify current and emerging sector and place-specific issues Monitor, research and respond to key Government publications including consultations, White Papers and relevant reports and legislation, pulling together complex information to provide timely advice and producing concise, impactful briefings Lead on a number of working groups on key topics such as devolution, infrastructure, skills, climate adaptation, and promoting a strong economy
