The Role - PMLD Teaching Assistant

As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Your responsibilities will include helping the pupil engage with learning activities, supporting their communication and emotional development, and encouraging positive interaction with staff and peers. The ideal candidate will be patient, attentive and proactive, using tailored approaches to meet the individual needs of the pupil. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow personalised learning plans and support strategies that promote participation and progress. Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly PMLD, is preferred.

The School - PMLD Teaching Assistant

This supportive SEN school is in Greenwich and is a 10 minute walk from the nearest train station. The school is mixed gender and currently has 71 pupils enrolled. Staff are dedicated to creating a nurturing, inclusive and encouraging learning environment where every pupil feels valued, loved and supported.
