Domestic Plumber - Social Housing

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Domestic Plumber to work on behalf of my client, delivering high-quality plumbing services across social housing properties.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and customer-focused plumber who is confident working in occupied homes, carrying out a mix of reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and installations while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations within social housing properties

Carry out works including leak repairs, blocked drains, toilets, taps, sinks, showers, radiators, boilers, and pipework

Complete bathroom installation, maintenance, and renovation works

Attend emergency call-outs such as burst pipes, flooding, and loss of water or heating

Diagnose faults accurately and carry out repairs to a high standard

Work across both planned and reactive maintenance contracts

Conduct inspections of plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with health & safety and building regulations

Maintain accurate job records, including time, materials used, and works completed

Liaise with the office team to ensure correct materials are ordered and available

Deliver excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous approach with tenants

Ensure work areas are left safe, clean, and tidy at all times

Requirements

City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing or Heating (or equivalent)

Proven experience as a Domestic Plumber, ideally within social housing or residential environments

Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, heating, drainage, and pipework

Good understanding of building regulations and health & safety standards

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Full UK Driving Licence

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with tenants and colleagues
