Location: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), Woolwich, London SE18 4QH Rate: £22.00 – £23.60 per hour (Umbrella / CIS) Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (days & nights) Contract Type: Ongoing / Long-term
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Plumber / Mechanical Engineer to work on a healthcare site at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich. This is a shift-based role covering both day and night work, supporting critical hospital facilities.
Key Responsibilities
*
Carrying out plumbing and mechanical maintenance and repair works
*
Responding to reactive and planned maintenance tasks
*
Ensuring all works are completed in compliance with health & safety regulations
*
Working within a live healthcare environment, maintaining high standards of workmanship
*
Liaising with site management and other trades as required
Requirements
*
Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
*
Good level of industry experience in plumbing/mechanical works
*
Healthcare experience preferred (hospital, FM, or similar environments)
*
Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts
*
Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
*
Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
