*Role Description*
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Gas Safe Plumber to join our busy team covering projects across various sites on the Isle of Wight.
The successful applicant will carry out gas servicing, maintenance, breakdown repairs, and installation works within domestic properties, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current regulations and client specifications.
A Full UK driving licence (manual) is essential, as travel between sites is required.
*Main Duties*
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on domestic gas appliances and heating systems.
* Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs in occupied and void properties.
* Install and commission boilers, heating systems, and associated plumbing works where required.
* Ensure all works comply with Gas Safety Regulations and current industry standards.
* Complete all relevant certification and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
* Carry out risk assessments and ensure adherence to site-specific health and safety plans.
* Maintain excellent customer service standards when working in occupied homes.
* Work collaboratively with supervisors, site managers, and other trades.
* Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working order.
* Report any issues or variations to management promptly.
* Undertake any necessary training to support the role.
*Skills & Essential Experience*
* Proven experience as a Gas Safe registered plumber.
* Current Gas Safe Registration (Domestic).
* ACS qualifications (including CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, etc.).
* Strong experience in boiler servicing, breakdown diagnostics, and heating system installations.
* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Sound understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Full UK driving licence (manual).
* Relevant plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
*Desirable*
* Experience working within local authority or housing association contracts.
* Unvented hot water qualification.
* Asbestos Awareness.
* First Aid qualification.
* Basic IT skills for completing digital job records.
