PLC Software Engineer Rockwell PLCs FactoryTalk / Studio 5000 £50-62k + Hybrid Working

Samuel Frank is recruiting for a PLC Software Engineer with Rockwell PLC experience to join a well-established, growing engineering business. The role is predominantly office-based with very limited site work and would suit a PLC Software Engineer who enjoys structured, collaborative development rather than constant travel.

Key aspects of the PLC Software Engineer role include

  • PLC Software Engineer will focus on Rockwell PLCs using Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View
  • PLC Software Engineer will typically work with ladder logic, with some structured text where required
  • PLC Software Engineer will often modify code, interrogate existing programs, tweak and enhance systems rather than always starting from scratch
  • Very limited site work, most of the work is done in-house in a controlled environment
  • Strong emphasis on collaborative working shared standards, consistent code structure and reusable libraries across the team
  • PLC Software Engineer will contribute to developing libraries and frameworks that all engineers can use effectively
  • Fast-paced environment with multiple projects running in parallel
  • Involvement across full project lifecycle including design, development, testing and FAT
  • Process control environments such as water treatment, chemical, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, nuclear or oil & gas
  • Any background where systems need to be robust, reliable and compliant
