Immediate start available JDR Swansea are currently recruiting for
experienced Plater/Fabricators
to support a well-established engineering company on a
heavy fabrication project in South Wales . This role involves the fabrication and assembly of
structural steel and heavy construction components , working from engineering drawings and following strict health and safety procedures.
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday:
07:30 - 16:30
Friday:
06:30 - 13:30
Early finish every Friday
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication of
structural steel and heavy construction components
Oxy-acetylene burning
Bevelling plate
Grinding and drilling materials
Assembling heavy fabrications from drawings
Working to fabrication tolerances and quality standards
Adhering to
site health & safety procedures
Requirements
Time-served Plater/Fabricator
or equivalent experience
Experience working with
structural steel or heavy fabrication
Ability to
read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience using fabrication tools including grinders, drills and burning equipment
Strong understanding of
health & safety in engineering environments
Certifications
CCNSG or CSCS card (essential)
