Plater / Fabricator - Permanent Opportunities in Thirsk

The Opportunity

We're currently recruiting skilled Plater / Fabricators to join a well-established and growing engineering team based in Thirsk. If you're experienced in heavy structural steel fabrication and confident working from engineering drawings, this is a fantastic opportunity to secure a stable, long-term role with excellent pay and benefits.

You'll be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of heavy structural steel plates and beams, accurately positioning and tacking components in preparation for welding within a professional and well-equipped workshop environment.

Pay Rates

Day Shift: £19.79 per hour (PAYE)

Night Shift: £23.44 per hour (PAYE)

44 basic hours per week

Premium overtime rates available

Shift Patterns ⏰

Day Shift

Monday - Thursday: 6:30am - 4:30pm

Friday: 6:30am - 12:30pm

Night Shift

Monday - Thursday: 7:10pm - 6:40am

What We're Looking For

Experience reading and working from engineering drawings

Strong background in heavy structural steel fabrication

Ability to accurately tack and assemble plates and beams
