Astute's Renewables team are working exclusively with an established Anaerobic Digestion business, who are looking to recruit a Plant / Site Operator for their site near Middlesbrough, working on a 4 on 4 off day shift rotation.

The Plant Operator will play a vital role in ensuring the day to day running of the renewable energy plant and comes with a competitive salary, discretionary bonus and excellent training and benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Plant Operator role

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:

Carrying out the day to day operations of the anaerobic digestion plant Working on a 4 on 4 off day shift rotation and being part of an on-call rota Learning how to use the SCADA control systems to monitor the process Carrying out planned & reactive maintenance of the plant, which will include working on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, pipework etc once trained Feeding fuel into the process using mobile plant such as a telehandler Responding to machine and systems failures once trained General site housekeeping, keeping it clean and tidy Ensuring adherence with health & safety Other duties as required
