Role Description
Caecillian has been through a sustained period of growth, which is forecast to continue. Due to this growth, the business is currently seeking an experienced Plant Manager to provide effective management, control, and optimisation of all plant, tools and equipment.
This role will ensure that all assets are compliant, cost-effective, safe, and available to support delivery across gas, electric, water and waste water projects. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Denton, with opportunities for some work-from-home flexibility.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle management of plant and tools, including procurement, hire, maintenance, tracking, and disposal.
- Ensure optimal utilisation of assets across multi project sites.
- Implement asset management systems and processes to improve visibility and control.
- Monitor and report on KPIs and SLAs, including safety, plant utilisation, down time, and profitability.
- Ensure all plant and tools meet UK regulatory and statutory requirements
- Maintain robust inspection, servicing, and certification schedules.
- Work closely with HSEQ team to enforce safe use and best practice.
- Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and performance.
- Deliver cost savings and value through effective negotiation and supplier rationalisation.
- Partner with operational teams to ensure timely delivery of plant and equipment requests.
- Support mobilisation of new projects with the appropriate planning of plant and equipment.
- Analyse data to drive utilisation improvements and reduce downtime.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a plant or asset management role.
- Strong understanding of plant hire, maintenance, and asset lifestyle management.
- Experience with asset management systems and digital tracking tools.
- Experience within multi-utilities, civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- In depth knowledge of UK compliance standards (LOLER, PUWER, HSE regulations)
- Experience leading a large-scale mobilisation.
- Possess good IT Skills with the ability to use common applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and across business units.

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary from £35,000 per annum based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including pension scheme and a company vehicle or car allowance.
