People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Plant Fitter to join a busy and well-established plant and equipment operation based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire . This is a full-time permanent position offering an excellent salary and long-term stability.
This is a hands-on, yard-based role focused on servicing, fault-finding, and preparing plant machinery to a high standard before dispatch to site. It would suit someone practical who enjoys maintaining reliable equipment rather than production-line work.
Hours
•  Monday to Friday   •  08:00 – 18:00
Salary
•  £42,000 – £48,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Plant Fitter , your duties will include (but are not limited to):
•  Servicing and repairing a range of plant machinery   •  Carrying out routine safety inspections and checks   •  Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing repairs   •  Preparing equipment for site use   •  Recording defects and completing repair documentation   •  Ordering parts and liaising with suppliers   •  Assisting with loading and unloading plant equipment   •  Supporting occasional on-site repair work when required
Essential Skills
To be successful as a Plant Fitter , you will need:
•  Previous experience maintaining plant or heavy equipment   •  Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills   •  Good understanding of health and safety procedures   •  Practical, hands-on approach to work
Desirable Experience
•  CSCS   •  Slinger/Signaller   •  Banksman   •  MEWP   •  Crane Supervisor
Training Provided
•  Full training provided with ongoing development and support
